VMUG event December 2012

Here is a short blog about the recent activities within the #DutchVMug. First of all there was the installment of a new VMug Leader. Viktor vd Berg handed over the job to Ferry Limpens. Viktor has done an excellent job in the last couple of years and will remain a member of the VMug Customer Council.

That was the 2nd part of the presentation: The Customer Council. The CC represents the Dutch independent usergroup within the world. It has 10 members, from different companies, which will organize the Events within the Netherlands, and provide feedback to VMware about their strategic goals and events. As you all know, there where some discussions going on about the Dutch VMug and VMug International. At todays event Victor Bohnert from the VMug Int revealed some of the steps the Dutch VMug is taking to join the International VMug.

After the opening Keynote from Mark Goetelaars and Jeremy van Doorn (VMware) the sessions started. Multiple bloggers and VMware representatives gave presentations about their experience and new products in retrospect to VMware.

We had some great presentations of Rob Groenhuis (VMware), presenting the latest in Vsphere 5.1, Kamau Wanghuhu on Network Virtualization, VXLAN & STT, Alain Geenrits on vCenter Operations and Eric Sloof and Mattias Sundling presented their newest myths (link).

All and all a great day to attend.
